An Elite Collegiate "Sister Act"
CAMBRIDGE, MAMay 31, 2001When you are
the new kid on the block, you can use all the help you can get.
And, when it came to evaluating and purchasing enterprise software,
that is exactly what Johnstown, PA's Cambria County Area Community
College (CCACC) did. Only seven years old, CCACC teamed up with
its two older, sister community colleges to evaluate the
Elite Administrative software package offered by Jenzabar, a leading
provider of Internet enterprise software, e-learning solutions,
and services to higher education. Along with its sister schools,
the Community College of Beaver County and Northwest Pennsylvania
Technical Institute, CCACC purchased Elite's applications for admissions,
registration, advising, alumni development, personnel, financials,
and institutional reporting.
There is, indeed, strength in numbers.
"This partnership will enhance the collaboration with
our sister institutions," Dr. Kathleen Davis, CCACC's President
stated. "But more importantly, it will provide CCACC with the MIS
infrastructure so badly needed at this time."
With the purchase of the Jenzabar Elite software,
CCACC is able to meet administrative information processing and
communication needs that their previous database systems
a mix of homegrown and packaged systems was not sufficiently
robust to handle.
