Jenzabar Closes 2000 with Record Number of New Clients
CAMBRIDGE, MAFebruary 20, 2001In the final
quarter of 2000, Jenzabar, Inc., a leading provider of integrated
enterprise software, Internet infrastructure, and services to higher
education institutions, welcomed a record number of new clients
into its family. New client contracts rose 80% from the combined
results for the final quarter of 1999 of the individual enterprise
software companies that have been integrated into Jenzabar (Campus
America, CARS Information Systems, CMDS, and Quodata). In the breakdown
by product line, the combined sales organization generated a 95%
rise in Unix contracts and a 65% rise in NT contracts. "These
sales numbers support that our vision for integrating Jenzabar is
working," stated Bob Maginn, Jenzabar's chairman. "We
believe our company's gain in new client contracts was greater than
if we had not combined these companies."
During the fourth quarter, several distinguished and
leading institutions chose Jenzabar solutions, including Elizabethtown
College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Endicott College
in Beverly, Massachusetts, Merrimack College in North Andover,
Massachusetts, and Mount Holyoke College in South
Hadley, Massachusetts. Each of these colleges was ranked in the
U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges"
List for 2000. In particular, Mount Holyoke College ranked 21st
in the "Best National Liberal Arts Colleges" list, while
Elizabethtown College ranked third in the "Best Regional Liberal
Arts Colleges" list, northern region. These new clients follow
on the heels of the Claremont Colleges, which purchased Jenzabar
products in July. Located in Claremont, California, the Claremont
Colleges are a consortium of undergraduate colleges ranking in the
top 40 of U.S. News' "America's Best National Liberal
Arts Colleges" list. This consortium includes Pomona College
(7), Claremont McKenna College (14), and Scripps College
(35).
Commenting on the results for the year, Ling Chai,
CEO of Jenzabar, stated, "We believe that by integrating our
campus portal and e-learning features with the enterprise software
applications of Campus America, CARS, CMDS, and Quodata, we now
offer higher education institutions a more complete solution to
their enterprise infrastructure needs."
