SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Position Location: Boston, MA
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for the sale of higher education products and services to new accounts within an assigned geographic territory. The Senior Account Executive’s primary goals are new order bookings, revenue attainment and customer satisfaction. The Senior Account Executive’s responsibilities include implementation of direct sales strategies, in addition to working with Jenzabar's channel partners, to identify leads and close business. Further, the Senior Account Executive is measured on meeting and exceeding customer expectations, with the goal of making each Jenzabar customer a reference account. The Senior Account Executive operates an assigned territory as a "franchise" and is responsible for frequent communication of business conditions to the executive management team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and execute sales strategies designed to achieve stated booking targets and revenue objectives. Consistent and predictable performance is paramount.
- Make prospecting cold calls.
- Implement sales automation and prospect tracking systems that communicate information about prospects, projects and customers to sales management and other members of the executive team.
- Be accountable for "all that touches the customer" in your assigned territory, ensuring that Jenzabar customer relationships and satisfaction is of professional quality and can be referenced as such.
- Communicate Jenzabar’s goals, products and value to the public, including end-user prospects, partner's sales forces, consultants and others as they might arise. Continually develop and demonstrate verbal and written skills that differentiate you as a professional salesperson.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of direct end-user solution sales experience with software application solutions.
- Professional experience in Higher Education market; knowledge of higher education business structure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop applications.
- Technical proficiency in computing.
- Entrepreneurial drive and motivation.
- Mastery of written and verbal presentations.
- 50% travel required.
