LMS Information Architect
(Position Location: Boston)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Jenzabar’s Product Development team has an immediate opening for an Information Architect. This position reports to the Director of Web Applications in our Boston, MA office. Work closely with our Lead Information Architect and our Development team to participate in the design and implementation of a Web Portal and Learning Management System for higher education institutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Design screen mockups of new portal functionality, based on functional requirements and design direction documents.
• Write detailed design specifications to be used by the Development team in implementing those screens.
• Maintain specifications throughout their life-cycle
• Work with the Support team to log enhancements requests from clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• BA or BFA in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of web design experience
• Passion for design and usability
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and visual)
  Motivation: You must be able to work on your own and get things done with minimal supervision
  Ability to design and be creative within the boundaries of an institutional web application
• Pride in, and ownership of, your work
• Some Web Development experience: at least HTML/CSS/Javacript, if not more advanced Object–Oriented or Database-Driven technologies.

Desired Experience:

• CSS mastery
• Experience creating icons for web applications
• Experience writing technical specification documents
