JAM 2008 First-time Attendee FAQs
Q. I have just been given approval to attend JAM, what should I do first?
A. To attend JAM, you must complete registration and payment prior to the deadlines below.
Online JAM registration is open January 3 through May 19, 2008.
* Early Registration/payment is January 3 – February 15, 2008, and payment must
accompany registration.
* Regular Registration/payment is February 16 – April 30, 2008.
* Late Registration/payment is May 1 – May 19, 2008.
* Online secure payment can be made with American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa
credit cards. A check can also be sent, however, it must reach Jenzabar by the registration
cut-off date or the next registration rate will apply.
* When you have successfully registered, you will receive a confirmation along with an access
key that will allow you to return and modify your registration as needed.
Q. Now that I have received my JAM registration confirmation, what do I do next?
A. Save the confirmation access code to make necessary changes to your registration, add guest
tickets, purchase event tickets, or sign up for pre-conference seminars. We also suggest
that you make your hotel and airline reservations as soon as possible. Visit the Conference Hotel
page for information about making hotel reservation.
Q. What is the dress code for JAM and should I pack anything extra?
A. The JAM dress code is business casual. With over 25 concurrent session rooms in operation, you
may want to wear comfortable shoes. The session rooms vary in size and temperature so if you
are sensitive to temperature fluctuation you may also want to pack a sweater or jacket. Casual
attire is appropriate for after-session hours and the JAM Special Event.
Q. When should I arrive in Nashville?
A. If you have registered to attend a pre-conference seminar at JAM, you will want to arrive by
Tuesday, May 27. (Pre-conference JAM seminars require separate registration and payment.)
Pre-conference seminars begin Wednesday, May 28 at 8:00 a.m. The JAM Conference will begin
Wednesday, May 28 at 1:30 p.m., with a welcome and keynote address.
Q. I am registered and have my travel arrangements, where do I go when I get there?
A. Please come to the JAM registration desk, located in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention
Center, beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, and to receive your registration
materials and name badge.
Q. What information is included in the JAM conference program guide?
A. Attendees will receive the official JAM conference program guide during registration at the hotel.
The guide is packed full of “must have info” to help you navigate the conference, including:
* Conference Schedule and session descriptions
* Hotel map
* Conference overview and useful information
* JAM Special Event schedule and directions
* List of Jenzabar presenters, customer presenters and guest speakers
* Corporate participation and vendor advertisements
Q. What if I’m not able to get to the registration counter on Wednesday, May 28
at 12:00 p.m.?
A. You will need your JAM name badge to attend JAM sessions and activities; therefore, you will
need to check-in at the JAM registration desk on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning
beginning at 7:00 a.m.
Q. When does the conference begin?
A. The JAM conference begins at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 with a welcome and
keynote address.
Q. When does the conference end?
A. The JAM conference ends at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008.
Q. Where will the sessions be held?
A. All JAM sessions will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.
Q. How do I know what sessions to attend?
A. We expect to have the preliminary program posted on the JAM website in mid-March and the final
program (including session date & time) in late April. To maximize your learning experience at
JAM, we recommend that you review the schedule prior to arriving in Nashville. We also suggest
that if others from your organization are attending JAM that you coordinate a review to capitalize
on the widest session coverage possible.
Q. How do I meet other attendees from my product line, department, or region?
A. One of the many benefits of attending JAM is networking and making contacts.
JAM facilitates these benefits by:
* The JAM schedule focuses on specific departments and related products. Attendees will attend
sessions and meet colleagues with similar needs and share information.
* JAM promotes a Regional User Group gathering where attendees can learn about meeting in
their “neighborhood” as well as meet and network with peers.
* A networking must is a visit to the Universe Room where attendees can schedule meetings
with Jenzabar associates, see vendor displays, and check e-mail.
Q. May I bring a guest?
A. Adult guests are welcome to attend the JAM Special Event on Friday, May 30, 2008. Guest
passes are available for purchase at $75.00 each. Registration is required and payment for guest
passes must be received by May 19, 2008. Guest registration is available via the online JAM
registration process. Select the Add a Guest option in the registration area. No on-site guest
registration will be available. If you have already registered for JAM, you may modify your
registration by using your access code to retrieve your registration, add a guest and submit
payment. Attendance to all other conference programs is limited to registered Jenzabar clients,
employees and invited partners.
We look forward to seeing you at JAM in Nashville, Tennessee!
