Faculty Day Thursday, May 31, 2007
Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, Orlando, Florida

Create the Ideal Learning Environment for Your Campus
Faculty have an unquestionable impact on student satisfaction. Student–faculty relationships are at the heart of the academic experience – and directly affect your retention numbers, how many students become graduates, and how loyal your alumni remain. Face-to-face interaction will always be important – but in this digital age, the learning environment extends into the online worlds of both students and educators. Is your faculty equipped with advanced technology that supports their success? Do they engage your students online just as effectively as in the classroom? Your Net Generation students expect nothing less.

Please join us for the inaugural Jenzabar Faculty Day on Thursday, May 31, during Jenzabar’s Annual Meeting (JAM 2007). Each year, JAM brings together Jenzabar end users from offices across the campus to discover new ways to optimize the use of our technology. Although part of JAM, the Faculty Day program will focus on the academic aspects of our solutions, rather than the technical, and help you get an extra edge in today’s competitive environment.

Designed specifically for an academic audience, including Academic Deans, Senior Faculty, and Vice Presidents and Deans of Student Services, Jenzabar Faculty Day will provide a forum for sharing experiences and success stories among colleges and universities that use Jenzabar solutions to support the success of their students. Faculty Day will demonstrate how you can increase your effectiveness in the classroom, in your roles as advisor and Student Services executive, and in collaboration with colleagues.

Information technology executives will gain important insights to share with their academic constituents, including how to enhance faculty’s effectiveness as educators and advisors, lighten their administrative burdens, and enhance their collaboration with colleagues.

Here’s a brief sampling of the ideas and insights you will find at Faculty Day:

-  Do more than post syllabi and class assignments online -- discover simple but powerful methods
for enhancing the classroom learning environment with a learning management system

-  Build an environment conducive to learning and supportive of your teaching efforts – come hear
about the collaborative world created through a campus Internet portal

-  Track and document learning outcomes through the use of an electronic portfolio system that
is integrated with your administrative system

-  See how a portal can make your life on campus a bit easier – learn ways to facilitate faculty
collaboration and support your own professional development online

-  Discover how you can fill the void between registration and advising by taking proactive
measures to synthesize these disparate but intrinsically related functions

-  Learn how to integrate the technology of an advising/degree audit system into a campus
culture attuned to the course catalog

Today’s faculty must rise to the technology challenge. Join us for Jenzabar Faculty Day at JAM 2007 and discover how the technology of higher education can help ensure your institution’s success.
